ON-DEMAND VS. ONLINE PROGRAMMING

On-Demand vs Online Programming. Which to choose and why?

With At-home workouts becoming more and more popular, the debate vs on-demand channels and online fitness programs continues to grow. While both have their benefits, which is right for you? Let's first start by learning the difference between the two.

On-Demand Fitness channels are a series of workouts that athletes can choose, literally, "on-demand".

In other words, they can go onto their fitness channel and choose any workout they like in any order, watch the video, and workout along with it. You can think of it as a "Netflix" for fitness.

Online Programming is an actual fitness program that athletes can complete through an app, pdf, video library, etc. The biggest difference is that a fitness program lays out a plan for you to follow day by day, week by week, month by month, etc.

With many online programs, there is still flexibility on mixing up your workouts, but, for the most part, the workouts are written in an order for a reason.

So, which one should you choose? Which one do we prefer?

After trying both styles of online training, we side more with the online fitness programs. The main reason is because they keep athletes on track, accountable, and consistent with their goals; and at the end of the day, consistency is KEY!

We utilize TrainHeroic to deliver our online workout programs which allows us to post workouts, share exercise videos, see athlete's progress, and have direct communication with our athletes throughout their programs!

Although we side more with online programming, we are still big fans of On-Demand Workouts! It is great way to get in fitness, mix up your routine, and sweat on a daily-basis.

However, the one thing to keep in mind when selecting your On-Demand workouts, is to try and make it a program, or fit the workouts you choose into your program. In other words, select workouts that will help you reach or attain your goal, rather than just selecting random workouts. As they say, random workouts can produce random results.

At the end of the day, regardless of which one you choose, it is really based on preference. We have utilized and tried both, and love both. For us, whether an athlete is on an actual program or selecting on-demand workouts, as long as they are moving, the workouts will benefit their health and fitness. So find the one you love, stay consistent, and the results will come.
